Thoughts on Yellow

The thing is, it's ubiquitous. And because it's ubiquitous, we take it for granted. As we gear up for our annual spring exhibition as part of the South of the Navy Yard Artists (SONYA) Open Studio Stroll, members of FGPO are posting images that feature the color, Yellow. And all its shades, tones, textures and contexts.

Yellow has had a tough history. Think: Yellow Journalism. For me, I think of smiles. And Coldplay. Seriously.

Consider these posts a primer, or brainstorming, if you will. And perhaps like us, you'll see or feel patterns emerge. Or at the very least, you'll enjoy the images as much as we're enjoying posting them.
